I was stressed out, and living in the city, but nature and open, green spaces, always helps to calm me down. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I made the game generate a random plant based upon a random word. It was super rough, and didn't look great, but I was just making it to take my mind off things.I showed this little game to a few people, and it seemed to connect with them. I noticed that people would always do very similar things the first time that they played. They would type in their own name, their pets name, loved ones etc, to see what kind of plant would grow. It was amazing to see them connect the plant to the person. Maybe the plant was very chaotic and messy, which made them think of their cat, or tall and graceful like their partner.I saw this happen with enough different people to convince me that I should turn this idea into a full game. I hope that it connects with more people, and maybe even helps you if you are having a hard time, like the original prototype did with me. 7aa9394dea Title: The BotanistGenre: Casual, Indie, SimulationDeveloper:Jamo GamesPublisher:Jamo GamesRelease Date: 5 Oct, 2017 The Botanist Download Link Pc the botanist manchester deansgate. the botanist cocktails. the botanist venue hire. the botanist tokyo. the botanist ec2m. the botanist oxford. the botanist wiki. the botanist knutsford menu. the botanist gin 1l. the botanist newcastle 50 off january. the botanist tw9 3aa. the botanist alderley edge menu. the botanist on the green. the botanist pdx. the botanist free bottle of wine. the botanist bottomless brunch. the chinese botanist's daughters full movie download. the botanist gin 1l uk. the botanist sheffield. the botanist zagreb. the botanist richmond. the botanist wellington. the botanist gin gluten free. the botanist 22 gin price. the botanist coventry menu. the botanist 1.5l. the botanist gin tesco. the botanist marlow gluten free. the botanist prosecco brunch. the botanist zagreb. the botanist farnham. the botanist 50 off manchester. the botanist facebook. the botanist book. the botanist 7 sloane square. the botanist marlow. the botanist 17 willoughby st kirribilli. the chinese botanist's daughters free download. the botanist gift pack. the botanist bristol menu. the botanist gluten free. the botanist menu newcastle. the botanist price. the botanist free bottle of wine. the botanist hunting lodges at mac & wild. the botanist website. the drunken botanist free download. the botanist 40 off sheffield. the botanist leeds 40 off. the botanist lincoln. the botanist vancouver. the botanist farnham gluten free. the botanist vegetarian. the botanist interview questions. the botanist zutaten. the botanist owner. the botanist middletown ny. the botanist 22 botanicals. the botanist london menu. the botanist prosecco brunch. the botanist york bottomless brunch. the botanist gin tesco. the botanist york jobs. the botanist price. the botanist kew menu. the botanist reading. the botanist gu9 7nd. the botanist york offers The game is decently fun but could use some content updates in the near future. This review is written on launch and as of now the game has a few bugs, but I expect them to be fixed pretty quickly.. I really love this game, and maybe when the dust settles the developer might add a way to change the color of a plant after it grows, decorate the pots with lights or add more places to put plants or keep plants that you really like. It’s amazing what one developer made. I love how relaxing it is. No currency, no time limits, just smooth progress. Sometimes you just need this type of game. My only complaint is that there aren’t enough variety in the succulent plants. I have a huge stockpile of small to medium green succulent plants. My hope is that eventually every word will be super unique. I know it will take time, but maybe one day. I recommend this game if you want to relax and type in silly words that turn into fast growing plants.. This game is so much fun and super addicting. It is relaxing and cute and I just love it. Time just flies by as you play. If you love plants, definitely get this game.. Cute game. Didn´t expect it to run smoothly. Some bugs with mouse-pointer disappearing or mouse actions not acting properly. Can be "fixed" by opening the game menu but reoccurs again and again. Music playing two loops together - at least you can take music off :). I love the randomized plants, always a surprise what you get with new seeds. Still have a problem to figure out the difference between succulents and grass sometimes. Easy gameplay, not much to do ATM but I played for 3 hours now and it´s relaxing ... if there weren´t those little bugs. But restarting the game helps, sometimes. But you lose all your effort for that day.. TL;DR: Buggy but still playable. Randomly generated plants are fun to look at, especially the trees. Graphics are beautiful. Audio's kinda bad -- repetitive soundtrack, very few sound effects, but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment. Overall it's a pleasant experience that you can only get here. Getting more in-depth, there're a couple things to know if you want to enjoy this game. First, there's a trash-bin to your left. Use that to get rid of the pot currently on your desk, or throw away seeds that you don't particularly like. Note that doing that second thing makes the seed count glitch out, and you'll end up opening a brand new seed packet to find anywhere from one to four seeds inside. It's still kinda worth it, because otherwise your seed drawer fills up with junk.Second, you can't edit or delete entries in your seed journal (from what I can tell), so only record ones you actually care about, and make sure it's accurate before you send it in. Also, you might encounter a glitch where you enter the seed journal to find an entry already open, right-click out of it, and discover your cursor is stuck in the middle of the screen. Just back out, go back in, close the entry, and this time it'll work. Having to do that every time does get old, though...Third, you can rotate the circular thingy on your desk if you want to get a better look at your current plant, and you can put multiple plants in certain pots. Using planters to try out your five newest seeds at once is recommended.Lastly, there's a bug where, if you try to grab a new pot when one is already on your desk, you'll get stuck halfway between the pot shelf and your desk, and you'll have to exit to the menu and start the day over. That one kinda sucks, so watch out.The rest of the issues are kinda minor. A few typos, a noticeable lack of sound effects, disappointing randomly generated plants, an overabundance of sameface succulents, the depressing sense that the main character has no friends and never ventures outside... but it's really more good than bad. You get to settle into a comfortable routine of discovering new plants, filing them away in your notebook, fulfilling requests, and acquiring new pots. You get to experience the frustration of just starting out, the pang of rejection, and the satisfaction of a job well done. Eventually, you're putting together genuinely beautiful arrangements using your best finds and your shiniest pots, and that feels pretty good. And the trees actually look amazing; they're my favorite part of the game. So if that sounds like a good time to you, and you don't mind the price, I very much recommend this game.. This is a great game, and it's very relaxing, especially to someone like me that suffers from generalized anxiety disorder. Sometimes, it's good to appreciate a game that you don't have time-limits, enemies, etc. and just have a fun time trying out new plants and fulfilling requests. There are a few bugs within the game, thankfully nothing game-breaking, and the majority of these will most likely be fixed with patches in time.. I was very excited when i saw this game had been released. It's evenly paced and everything is beautiful from the plants to the music!. Riddled with bugs. Repetitive plants w/ just different colors. Identical requests to fulfill day after day. Music is bad. You can hardly see the mouse pointer since it is white over white/light colors. Interesting concept with the ability to name any seeds you buy and see what random plant comes out - but that's it.Not at all worth $7. Buy on sale for $2 or less. Might become worth it if the developer fixes bugs, performance issues, and puts more variety into requests and plants.I'm only continuing to play it to finish achievement whoring. Viridi is much better.. Really nice game. Relaxing soundtrack, and it's a lot of fun seeing what will grow from your chosen words. The plant requests by people are great as well, really satisfying to complete player requests.
